Socialbakers was using an LMS (Learning Management System) from an unnamed manufacturer for their internal needs. The company encountered various errors with this educational portal:
For the above reasons, Socialbakers decided to select and deploy a new educational portal that will serve not only for in-house training, but will also allow the establishment of the so-called Socialbakers Academy for customer education and certification.
Socialbakers was looking for an adaptable and customizable educational portal that would allow granular (detailed) management and monitoring of students and their studies. The new LMS must be able to serve tens of thousands of internal and external users and be able to set up and manage their structure.
Based on requirements, Sense4code proposed deploying its Scormium LMS learning portal , which operates from the certified Microsoft Azure cloud and is scalable to hundreds of thousands of users.
In addition to broad adaptability and customization of appearance according to the needs and corporate identity of the client, the Scormium LMS educational portal can be integrated with internal Socialbakers systems.
It is a very modular platform for teaching and studying courses. It allows organizations to create custom views (dashboards) for both students and lecturers. Sense4code provides report setup for Scormium LMS without additional editing costs.
In addition to the LMS itself, Sense4code offered its many years of experience with elearning methodology and help with introducing customers to the educational portal for the creation of the so-called Socialbakers Academy. It will serve customers who will be able to learn how to use the Socialbakers platform effectively, increase their expertise and obtain certifications.
The entire transition from the existing study portal to Scormium LMS took exactly one month, including system modifications and environmental customizations. The longest part of the migration was approximately 160 (video) courses with a large volume of data.
Thanks to the native support of the SCORM standard, the connection of courses to Scormium LMS was carried out without problems. Likewise, the migration of user study history went smoothly. Users can connect directly to the new portal via single-sign-on (SSO) with their login details, with no need for a new registration, and continue smoothly right from where they left off.
The whole transition was flawless. In addition to the certifications themselves, Microsoft Azure regularly validates enterprise data security in Scormium LMS with penetration tests. For some time, both educational portals ran simultaneously.
Socialbakers evaluates positively the speed of data deployment and migration within 1 month. The first wave is 300 internal users, then 1,500 and then 25,000 users. Native support for SCORM for elearning and SAML for SSO has helped prevent any migration problems.
Due to the ongoing acquisition by the American company Astute, a further increase in the number of users and courses can be expected. That is why Socialbakers greatly appreciates the possibilities of scalability and further LMS growth according to the needs of the organization. Thanks to the intuitive interface and ease of use, the administrator was trained in a matter of hours.
"Scormium meets all the requirements of a modern and easy-to-integrate solution. In addition, I positively evaluate the speed of deployment and data migration. Thanks to the intuitive interface and ease of use, training took place in a matter of hours."
