Covid-19 shut us down at home last year and companies needed to bring education into digital form. The market was literally calling for such a solution. There was no solution on the Czech market that really met the needs of modern users. Existing systems are rigid, and often no one even tries to develop and innovate them anymore. And that's why we're here.
I studied at an eight-year itite high school, where programming was mandatory. Eventually, I realized I was good at it, and at the same time, I enjoy it. In my free time, I tried my own projects and got better at it.
In college, as a contractor, I began programming projects in various sectors, and in the process I often encountered in-house education.
The acquired know-how has greatly influenced the next career path. My competitiveness and desire to learn helped me gain new experience beyond programming, but also managerial skills.
I soon started my own custom development company. Our goal is to deliver such quality services that we do not have to do marketing. Because the best advertising is satisfied customers. Fortunately, we are doing well, so business is purely on recommendation. This also helps us finance the flagship Scormium project.
Our first client was the GOPAS computer school, which creates its own content in the form of interactive e-learning. But their system at the time used outdated technologies, so we put our heads together, designed a solution, and they have been using it for 5 years in 21 countries around the world. This project was a springboard for us into the world of e-learning. Shortly there long after, we got the first custom development for the LMC Group and since then we have been fully engaged in the development of Scormia.
Scormium currently has support for more than 80 different LMS systems. The basis of success is our team. The boys put a part of themselves in the product and I am extremely grateful to them for that. Employees with us have the opportunity to significantly influence product development, we work as a team. We welcome any constructive ideas and encourage colleagues to make active contributions.
The first year confirmed to us that our business case is perfect market fit. I am not afraid to say that after the first year we have already built a strong name on the Czech market and become known. We are approached by institutions of tens of thousands of employees.
The biggest success was the acquisition of key client Asahi. It is a multinational company that is also the owner of the Czech Pilsner Urquell and many other globally known brands.
The selection process took several long months. We had to meet a lot of really difficult conditions. It was a really huge test for the whole team. We competed against big players from all over the world. I think our proactive approach and, above all, enthusiasm helped us win.
Another great achievement for us is winning the Microsoft Awards 2021! That made us really happy.

We have a big challenge ahead of us, and that is expansion into neighbouring markets. We were particularly interested in the Asian market. It is at a high level of digitisation and places great emphasis on the development of business education. We even found potential customers from this very continent. But we don't want to reveal any more yet.

An important factor for selection is that the applicant fits into the team and is suited to our corporate culture. The world champion, who has been everywhere and knows everything best, would not have made the selection even if he had 12 points out of 10.
For programmers, we primarily let the team decide. It is crucial that mutual expectations are entased and sympathy is sedented. In case they advance to the next round, then we test practical knowledge on our "Demo Day".
We assign the newcomer a "buddy" and a real project for one working day. At the same time, we provide maximum support and monitor how it works. If it passes, it's a perfect match and we're not afraid of losing that person in the short term. We have really good experience with this.
Starting 2 start-up projects in parallel with the management of a well-run company takes a really significant part of my time. But I enjoy it. I like to be in trouble. I learn something new every day, and even in my position, I have no problem rolled up my sleeves. Outside of work, I try my best to devote myself to my family. And if I have time? There's no better feeling than airing a few hundred horses on the circuit. I'm an enthusiast for sports cars and fast driving!
Definitely. The driving force is the positive references of our clients. In addition, our trader Sebastian sells Scormium as rolls. You can see that we have discovered the need for a market. It is now our ambition to become a market leader in education for the Czech Republic. And in a few years? Let's conquer the world!
